OGP Field Services

The goal of the OGP service division is to keep your systems operating in peak condition.

Our skilled technicians are located throughout the United States and are compliant with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements for field service and calibration.

OGP offers a range of field services from routine maintenance and calibration, to diagnosis and repair.

Preventive Maintenance

Video measurement system preventive maintenance services may include:

• Cleaning and degreasing the machine
• Cleaning and lubricating accessible leadscrews and bearing ways
• Inspecting and cleaning the cooling system
• Inspecting and cleaning all optics / mirrors – not just the ones on the outside of the machine
• Aligning and collimating light sources
• Virus scan, defragmentation, and backup of the PC

OGP optical comparator preventive maintenance may include:

• Cleaning and degreasing the machine
• Deburring the table surface and ways
• Cleaning and lubricating accessible leadscrews and bearing ways
• Inspecting and cleaning the cooling system
• Inspecting and cleaning all optics/mirrors – not just the ones on the outside of the machine
• Cleaning the chart glass
• Aligning and collimating light sources

Calibration

OGP calibration services use artifacts of appropriate size, density, and uncertainty for the full range of OGP measuring systems. Choose our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration team for recertification of your measuring system.

An OGP video system calibration service may include adjustment and compensation of the following:

• Parfocalization for auto focus
• Parcentricity of zoom lens
• FOV edge detection accuracy
• X/Y axis squareness of stage travel
• X/Y axis linear or nonlinear grid (up to 25 intersections)
• Z axis squareness to X/Y travel
• Z axis linear calibration

An OGP optical comparator calibration may include adjustment and compensation of the following:

• Table squareness to optical axis
• Focus squareness to optical axis
• Micrometer accuracy, if equipped
• Perpendicularity of X to Y axis
• Edge detection accuracy to centerline
• Magnification and distortion accuracy for all lenses equipped with machine
• Chart angular rotation in 90° increments
• Chart centerline in 180° increments
• X and Y axis lead accuracy – every inch for the length of travel
